Solar Savings Estimators

In order for you to receive state and federal tax credits, all systems installed in your home or business must be certified by the Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (SRCC). ALL products used by Sun Stuff Energy are fully certified to ensure the best quality and savings for our customers.

Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (SRCC)

Certification Requirements: When a collector model is certified and rated by SRCC, it must first pass a series of tests performed on a sample unit which has been randomly selected by SRCC from the manufacturer’s production. The series of tests are conducted according to the methods specified in SRCC Standard 100 by an independent laboratory accredited by SRCC.

Testing is a combination of durability and performance with the test procedures for performance being specified by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE Standard 93, "Methods of Testing to Determine the Thermal Performance of Solar Collectors," and ASHRAE Standard 96, "Methods to Testing to Determine the Thermal Performance of Unglazed, Flat Plate, Liquid Solar Collectors.")            —from SRCC Website

Sun Stuff Energy designs all systems to meet or exceed SRCC standards. With literally hundreds of installations since 1984, our state of the art designs have proven to be the most cost effective and efficient systems in Western North Carolina.
